I and my carpool stopped by the the Denny's out in Bellevue (148th), and it was packed to the gills. The line literally filled the lobby, and was to the door.

We ate at IHOP (1 block away) instead, which is having unlimited pancake breakfasts for $7 still. But, because there was so much overflow, and only one waitress, there were no servings of extra pancakes to be had for us.

Stay away and let the homeless get something filling to eat for once.
4
I love pancakes.
5
There is no Denny's in West Seattle! I'm not sure who you called and where they are located.....
6
Unless I've subconsciously removed any point of reference in my mind, I'm fairly sure there's no Denny's in West Seattle, and certainly not at 5001 California.
7
I concur. There is no Denny's in W Seattle. I thought I had lost my mind. Look at the satellite pick when you click on the map link. Only condos and a hill.
8
A phone number look-up for the "West Seattle" one reveals a Denny's at 14821 1st Ave S in Burien.
9
I so would have gone if it had been Moons Over my Hammy instead.
10
I would love to have had it at the one in Ballard. Bastards...
11
I have never been prouder to live in Burien. We may not have a bakery, deli, or co-op but dammit we have a Dennys.
12
@3 I agree.

I looked up the locations on Denny's website and they have one that's down the street from the Sears and Starbucks HQ that's south of downtown. I've never been to that one. I've been to a Denny's in Kent a few years back though.

There's the Denny's in Fife right off of I-5. It may be worth the trip!
14
So the expended gas (assuming you're driving from Seattle) cancels out the saved cost of a free breakfast.
15
There is also a Denny's in Kenmore, just off the main drag on the uphill side. My parents used to take me there all the time when I was little.
16
@14 - no, gas is less than $2 at some stations here.
17
Denny's is serving
Pancakes covered with syrup
At no charge today

We went to get our free Grand Slams - if you don't want to wait in line, they'll give you a raincheck. Hurry!
19
Why couldn't they have waited to tear the Denny's in Ballard down after this? It's just a big ugly lot right now.
20
Without a doubt, this experiment in guerilla marketing really "paid off" for
Denny's.

There’s a great take on the Denny’s free Grand Slam breakfast on freeedomhaters.org.
It compared the event with the soup lines of the Great Depression, and they photos they found closely match.
