I and my carpool stopped by the the Denny's out in Bellevue (148th), and it was packed to the gills. The line literally filled the lobby, and was to the door.
We ate at IHOP (1 block away) instead, which is having unlimited pancake breakfasts for $7 still. But, because there was so much overflow, and only one waitress, there were no servings of extra pancakes to be had for us.
Unless I've subconsciously removed any point of reference in my mind, I'm fairly sure there's no Denny's in West Seattle, and certainly not at 5001 California.
I concur. There is no Denny's in W Seattle. I thought I had lost my mind. Look at the satellite pick when you click on the map link. Only condos and a hill.
I looked up the locations on Denny's website and they have one that's down the street from the Sears and Starbucks HQ that's south of downtown. I've never been to that one. I've been to a Denny's in Kent a few years back though.
There’s a great take on the Denny’s free Grand Slam breakfast on freeedomhaters.org.
It compared the event with the soup lines of the Great Depression, and they photos they found closely match.
