This will make a great commercial!

America is the land of the hypocrite
3
It is an enduring mystery why these characters with a full on, old growth Douglass Fir sticking out of their eye would be so eager to point out motes in other's.

Judge not, lest ye be judged. In print, on television, and here on SLOG.

Wow.
5
I like how you can still make your point without cussing or name-calling. In fact, it makes your point stronger.
6
I wish the idea of "if you want to protect marriage, abolish divorce" would get pushed more to underline their hypocrisy.
7
Once again proving that this has nothing to do with the sanctity of marriage, and everything to do with hating gay people.

Hipocrasy is fun for everyone!
From the NYT profile of the Catholic League's chief asshat William Donohue:
In Mr. Donohue’s world view, atheism is nowhere near as bad as apostasy: he has been most vicious in attacking Catholics who support abortion rights, and he admits it. “I hate them,” he said.

And then two short paragraphs later:
Before taking up the cause, Mr. Donohue, a divorced father of two grown children who lives in Mineola, on Long Island, was a sociology professor at La Roche College, a Catholic college in Pittsburgh. (emphasis mine)

When did divorce become Catholic doctrine?
To paraphrase Luke: Bigot, hate thyself!

Excuse me: hypocrisy

Ooh, ooh, I just figured it out. He looks like Vigo the Carpathian.

So did Larry the Looker have anything to say about that judge who didn't give him the authority and support that he needed to run his, um, household? I'd doubt it. Bullies tend to cave around people they can't control.

And yes, Mr. Stickney, gay marriage will erode the foundation of your holy union, not those love taps you give your wife. By all means, keep spouting that Promise Keeper bullshit. If you say it enough, it has to be true!
12
@10: Totally, he is Vigo...especially after devouring Egon whole, then beating up Dennis the Menace and stealing his hair...
13
Maybe he's right though. If gays had had full benefits when he hit his wife, I bet she would have gotten a broken jaw. If gays had been getting married, he would have taken her head clean off in one blow.

But that's the past. Larry Stickney has a new, and probably more valuable, wife now. If gays start getting married and then he beats her to death, who would be to blame for that? The gays, or those of us who voted for gay marriage? Or both?

Not that it would make a difference to poor Larry, deprived of yet another wife, whether it was the fault of the gays or gay supporters.
14
Luckily he won't really need the 'moral high ground' to win.
Just lots of money...

Men who wear those kind of necktie chain thingys are always morons. Always.

And really: What's the point of wearing a dress shirt and necktie with a jacket like that? He looks like bag boy at a particularly sad supermarket.
16
stys, motes and logs..
it's christian thang...
17
ummm..it's 'A'...christian thang...
18
that HAIR!!! that is a crime against humanity in itself!
19
Fucking hilarious. I love Ed Murray's veiled comments.

Pretty hypocritical, especially considering this guy had two dads: Chris Farley and Hagar the Horrible.

Please wait...
