Ooooh. I have a jealous hope that SAM will get a substantial portion of the Ebsworth collection. Maybe it will do for this generation of SAM what the Bagley Wright collection did for SAM of the '90s.

Also, the Fischl paintings are super intense. (The ones on his website are NSFW, btw.) So bleak and cynical - money buys unhappiness and ennui, by Fischl's account.

It's funny to see all the fuss about Jeremy Bert's neon sign and copyright infringement when this Fischl painting uses the Nauman neon piece in a less infringing way, i.e., not for a bar. Is that supposed to be a Richter painting on the left?
