If Anderson was allowed to say what he honestly wants to about things a lot more of us would be tuning in to CNN. As it now stands I only tune over to CNN if I know that Dan is going to be interviewed. As much as I love watching AC I usually watch Keith or Rachel on MSNBC instead.

I hate to see Lou Dobbs leaving CCN - I admire him for taking a stand on the two Border Control men - I think because of Lou they are free at last.
I think he is very honest - also his views on outsorcing was very informative - I am going to miss him a lot - and I really hope FOX will hire him, he will be asset to the that network.

I wish Lou the very best and what I am going to do between 4 and 5 O'clock?- there is no reason to watch CNN anymore.

If I wasn't so damn lazy I would find the link to Dobbs' appearance on The Colbert Report when Colbert appeared as Esteban Colberto (with Frito Bandito mustache) and came onstage crawling under a chain-link fence.

Poor Nancy ("Save the White Women!") Grace, she's all alone now. It's hardly the Cracker News Network any more.

The last thing CNN needs is to tack left and become (more of) a joke like MSNBC and Fox. The channel would do better to eliminate King, Cooper, and all its editorializing, and just run, you know, hard news. The network pioneered 24 hour news, and did it fantastically well, before it was driven into the sewer to compete with networks it somehow got lumped in with. CNN should reinvent itself as what it used to be -- the only news network on TV.

I'm with 16. CNN needs to follow a sort of News Hour with Jim Lehrer model, as 24 hour cable news. An academic, in-depth, unhysterical, attitude-free coverage. And there needs to be a formality brought back to news anchoring not seen since the 80s. In substance and tone I'm thinking more Zakaria and Amanpour, and MUCH less Blitzer and the rest of those "hey guys, so here's what's up..." day anchors.

CNN took a header into the crapper when it started trying to be the Liberal Fox News.
It's anchors just don't have the personality for it- it is painful to watch them trying to do the folksy shuck and jive.
They should do straight hard news and leave the ranting to others.

CNN can fight with MSNBC over the 20% of America that self-identifies as "Liberal" ("progressives and moderates" in deluded hipster-speak...)
and Fox can keep the 40% that calls itself Conservative and the majority of the other 40% Independents that are fleeing Obama.

Conservatives hate CNN because they say it is too liberal! Liberals hate CNN because the say it is too conservative. However, it is owned by a large conservative corporation who only wants reported what benefits it. I would love to see truthful reporting, but truth has a nasty liberal, and anti-corporate, bias. If you want real reporting, check out the BBC.

MSNBC is considered the most liberal news channel in the business and its longest show is an arch conservative former Republican Congressman with a shady past involving the death of a young female office worker. Funny how that works.

I think he should go to Fox news, they are the only ones that tell the truth. The only time I watched CNN is to watch him (Lou) other wise CNN is pathetic, and thought he should be someplace with higher ratings.
Too Bad.... Fox news ratings has blown CNN out of the water, with reporters that tell the truth, if Dobbs joins Fox, they will really get the ratings.
GOOD JOB LOU, HOPE TO SEE YOU ON FOX!!!! WHERE THE TRUTH IS TOLD. The only ones that dont like him are the illegals and the people who dont want to know the truth. Sad, so sad.
