"This film will make you a better human."
It did wonders for Woody and Soon Yi. ;)

My fave is still Mighty Aphrodite and Manhattan
2
Yes to the praise. That film is a definite type of situation.

I've never met anyone who does only things I love or only things I hate. Woody helped me get okay with that when I was just a pup, bless him.

Hey, man, don't diss Mia.
5
@4, he's loving on Mia.
6
BROADWAY DANNY ROSE is one of the most justly neglected films in Allen's filmography.
7
Neglected indeed - kind of like Stardust Memories.
8
the heart wants what it wants

and i want to watch this again, it's a great film
9
7: Except Broadway Danny Rose is motivated by empathy, and Stardust Memories is motivated by spite.

9 -- Neither film is worth the time they take to watch.

@10, that is objectively not true for lots and lots and lots of people who are not you.

@11, I only ever speak for myself.

David,
Yeah, I viewed "Broadway Danny Rose" years ago. Very much enjoyed it. A. O. Scott is right. It's like a poignant poem. One of Allen's best,

BTW, I'm finding Scott has pretty good taste. I've seen and liked virtually all his "critic's pick" selections.
