Hey, she talked about getting rid of the NEA without bringing up Piss Christ. That's a little bit surprising.

@1, Palin has never heard of Piss Christ. Or Mapplethorpe. Never even heard the names.

But really, Brendan & Co., please stop covering her. She's not a real force in anything. She's a stalking horse. You're setting all your defenses against her laughable movement while the real bastards waltz right past you unnoticed. See the Romney post directly below.

What we need to eliminate is Bush's "faith based initiative" horse shit. Talk about a waste of money!

Ok dudes a point of clarity on "the bridge to nowhere".

It was a bridge to the AIRPORT in a town called Ketchikan, the 5th largest city in Alaska (according to wikipedia) and the southernmost city in the state, an important port, Ketckikan is is SE Alaska and is an island community. The story was picked up by the media because nobody lives on the island, which is true, nobody lives on this island because it is the fucking airport and not the town.

Currently one has to take a ferry from the airport to Ketchikan, a huge pain in the ass and certainly costing more $ over time.

@4: While it's true that the Bridge to Nowhere would have served a useful function, it's definitely a project that should have been funded by Alaska, not by the Federal government.

Yeah, the NEA & NEH are frivilous. We need more Christian Art! And less of that secular, satan-worshipping art that secular people spit-up. Art should praise God, only! That is the only purpose of art.

Also, I second what Fnarf says.

Please wait...
