That popped up on my iTunes this morning. Made me think of Megan Seling and her obsession with hockey.

hahaha! I LOVE that song!

Such a good game last night. Great back and forth hockey though it was awfully chippy. Nerves and excitement should settle a bit by next game. If they don't it'll be a nasty series to watch. Which, really, means a fun series to watch.

Oh get over yourself. Bergeron is a gash along with the other Bruins. He said he wasn't going to talk about it and then proceeded to talk about it. Milbury is a lifelong Bruins fan so his comments are worthless. If Burrows is suspended then Horton should have been suspended for spraying a fan with his water bottle in game 7 against Tampa Bay but he wasn't - WHY - because Collin's son plays for the Bruins. Who's he? You don't don't know because you are only a part-time hockey fan. He's the one who hands out discipline and Horton wasn't suspended and he should have been because it's against the hockey by-laws to assault a fan - no matter what. And Horton ended up scoring the game winning goal against Tampa Bay that put them in the Stanley Cup finals. FAIR? Now you're gonna talk about biting in hockey? Collin resigned AFTER he got his son into the Stanley Cup finals. BRUINS= GASHES

I can't believe how aggressive and undisciplined both teams were so early on. The coaches better reign them in quickly or there'll be real injuries by game 4.
6
"no matter how hungry you are for a championship." har!

and @4, who still uses the word 'gash' as an insult? that's awful, and you should stop doing it.
7
Hansen got the first assist. Kesler the second. No suspension for Burrows. So says Mike Murphy.

Oh! And I forgot! That hip-check by Hamhuis was AWESOME! But it really sucks that he was out the rest of the game after that hit. Hopefully he'll be feeling better soon, and be back for Game 2.
9
@8, Did you notice the Bruin who squirted water in Hambuis's face as he fell to the ice after the hip check? The game was starting to look like a game between close rivals as opposed to teams that usually play each other once a season.
10
@1, are you familiar with the Zambonis, the all-hockey all the time rock band? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8wvdetK1…
11
@9 I didn't catch that, no! Jesus. Real classy, dudes. And it was only the first game! I expect emotions will get really worked up by the fourth or fifth game, but that was nuts.
12
What happened to just sticking your tongue in an opposing player's ear?

There's a fineline between staying composed, playing a disciplined, focused game and letting a dirty team get away with murder over and over. You have to chhoose where you take your stands very wisely (like when the ref can't see you. Well done, Burrows).

The Canucks have been the dirtiest team North of the border since the Habs passed the torch and stopped playing that role at the end of the Damphousse era. Barring a tied 3rd period the Canucks crash the goaltender and start shit at the end of every.single.period. Sometimes they come up on the good end of a few penalties. Sometimes they pay the price. I've heard some complaints form Bruins fans but honestly, I think last nights officiating was remarkably balanced and judicious overall.

Not like it matters much. The Bruins power play is anemic but at least it takes those Project Monarch, Manchurian Candidate, Boys from Brazil freak-o twins off the ice because they can't kill penalties.

The Bruins have to endure the cheap shots and extra curriculars, police their net and make 'em hurt on the boards legally, between whistles. It's the only hope they have of beating the Canucks.

Fantastic game last night. Well done Canucks. I'm OK with dirty play. It's always been part of the game. Just not a Canucks fan so my bias kicks in and I scream, "AHHH! Suspend that man for biting! There's no biting!"

@4 , fellow Kings fan here!

That Collins debacle is an outrage. I hate the Toronto war room, Bettman and the entire Borad of Governors anymore.

I also thought Collins was being replaced by Brendan Shannahan and then the league puts in a ringer in the 11th hour? The NHL is working so hard at being right up there with Stern's NBA in terms of baffling oversight.
15
@10 - I was not.

Atom is better. :-)

Aside from the fighting, the Canucks looked really good yesterday. Boston didn't seem to get many good shots off all game long and Vancouver easily could have had a few more goals from the shots that barely missed.
17
Well, he shouldn't have put his grubby finger in Burrow's mouth. I'd have bit him too.
18
@17- agreed. There is no putting your finger in other players' mouths in hockey (well, at least not until after the game...).

Please wait...
