Alternatively, he could try getting himself elected, and actually "occupy" the office in question.

@1, your obtuseness grows daily. I'm still not convinced it isn't a brain tumor.

It is well within the rights of every American to petitition his elected officials. This fellow's actions are part of the continuum of action that begins with a vote and also includes phoning and writing letters or emails. At least he's talking to the right person.

Unfortunately the state's voters have made it clear that they much prefer the self-destructive course we are on, of destroying state government revenue no matter how self-injurious the resulting expenditure cuts are. Gregoire doesn't really have any options. The income tax she needs to do her job was voted down.
3
Yeah, Gregoire will take the hit, it's her job to take the flak and she knows it, but wishing she'd been the sort of governor she never was going to be is kinda silly. Compare her to Rossi if it helps with that bit.

But let's not flame at her only - the legislature's right there, our own failure to pass the income tax is right there, our own failure as citizens to step up against Eyman beyond the blogworld is right there. Just because it's harder to cover that stuff doesn't mean it isn't as newsworthy.

It would yet again seem that you are confusing and mixing the pre-planned and annual OCT 22 Rally against police brutality with the actual Occupation of Seattle, and letting other issues cause interference with the core ideas of Occupy Everywhere. Everyone needs to stop the jaded and/or traditional thinking, and discuss and learn about what Wall Street and it's influence on the ever growing disparity between people and profits have done to every sector of life, on a global scale. History is really -happening- here, and if you look, everywhere - to readily dismiss and criticize our diverse front line activists will surely be proven in the future to be a mistake if you belong to the 99%.

Finally, someone's getting it. I guess if a few thousand rabble rousers hang out enough ... one or two get smart.
6
last week I saw Occupy Mount Vernon. It was one guy with a sign, standing outside the law library. But it was raining so I guess he was pretty hard core.
7
It's called Eminent Domain - returning the public spaces back to the people.
8
@5 Who are you and what have you done with KittenKoder?
