Not in so many words? How many words did he use? One? Zero?

Not that the parties are already in disarray already, but a brokered convention could really be the final death knell for the Repubs.

You know, Goldwater in '64 was a disaster but arguably brought about the "Reagan revolution." We are still in the thick of that.

Interestingly, Mitt's father George declined to endorse Goldwater in '64. And today Mitt had this to say:

“It’s very easy to excite the base with incendiary comments,” Romney told reporters. “We’ve seen throughout the campaign that if you’re willing to say really outrageous things that are accusatory and attacking President Obama that you’re going to jump up in the polls. You know, I’m not willing to light my hair on fire to try and get support. I am who I am.”

Which is about the sanest and most decent thing I've heard out of any of the Rs in the last 6 months.
