"Sixty" karaoke singers? Really? I went there once and there were about five sad looking regulars and that seemed like a big crowd for the place. Sounds like a marketing ploy to me:
"Really, the place was rocking! Standing room only. Great singers too. If only it wasn't for that damn fire...but don't worry, we'll be open again next Saturday."
Maybe the insurance money will help pay for a much needed degreasification of the whole place. As someone who's lived down the street from the Rickshaw pretty much my entire life, it would be nice to see the place spiff up a bit. It is a unique Seattle institution, but it could use a facelift.
How much money did you save now, Rickshaw?
I'll take General T'sangs char-broiled chicken, 5 star.
