I’m embarrassed to write this, but: I’ve got it set to record. This will be the first time I've watched anything on MTV since I was eight.
2
high five!
3
Can we get a Canadian-friendly link? Pretty please?
4
Looks good. Hope it works out.
5
Mr. Savage, I think you will always be my favorite obnoxious gay guy. Congrats on the show, so glad to see the kind of mainstream acceptance your message is gaining. Wish I had MTV so I could watch this!
6
I never stay up to watch anything. I'm too old. But I'm sure everyone will love it (except the usual haters). Break a leg and best wishes Dan!
7
I haven't watched anything on MTV in more than a decade.

Looks like that will have to change.
8
Going to have to figure out how to watch this.
9
seriously it follows 16 and pregnant? that is so fucking perfect.

man i hope this show blows up and dan leaves the stranger. but it won't cause the show is dumb and dan has too many fanboys for his mostly hate-based activism.
10
I set it to TIVO, too, and not even embarrassed to admit it. Though @1, you stopped watching when you were 8? MTV didn't even exist until I was 13.
11
Is Martha Quinn still on?
12
Nice arms Dan! (I'm pretty sure I've said commented on that before.) You must be keeping up with the gym!
13
@10 yep, I remember watching it in MS when I was eight. The babysitter was an idiot teenager who also let the pastor's two young children watch Poltergeist. Led to so many questions…

Might be connected to why I’m so averse to using teenaged babysitters for my own kids.
14
I can't wait. I hope this is a huge hit for you Dan and brings us all closer the day you and Rick Santorum meet in a forum and you make him cry.
15
I have a song it! :D
16
For those of us without cable ... will this be available, some (legal) how, some (legal) way, sometime in the future? Anyone?
17
@16
I just clicked the link under the video called "MTV Shows" and found full episodes of "16 and Pregnant" ( :-O are you?), so I don't see why Savage U wouldn't be on there.
18
Cause who better to take sexual advice from than a pervert faggot who doesn't even know that sex is biologically designed for being between a man and a woman!

Next, MTV will be putting on a stunt driving show with a blind driver, and an ESL course from a Salvadoran peasant who's never spoken English.
19
Sigh. If only "Savage U" came before "16 and Pregnant," it could change its name to just "16."
20
While its always a good idea to not have a kid in high school, its also a good idea to not promote that teen parenthood is always the shit show that is seen on MTV or always a completely future crushing experience.
21
Is there any way Savage U full episodes will be available online? The satellite provider for my apartment complex does not offer MTV in its channel lineup.
22
Hey! Dan may be obnoxious and gay, but he's not... uh, what was the third thing you said?
23
Exciting! Congratulations. Are you ready for mtv-celebrity? I would imagine that would be quite different from the under the radar notoriety you have had until now.
24
Big Media Dan!
25
Bah! It won't show me your clip because I'm in Canada. Bah!
26
Mr Savage was in fine form, and it was somewhat encouraging to see so many young people so engaged, but it depressed me to tears.
27
Hey Dan
This is clearly not meant for my demographic (50s) - much too choppy and disjointed (and late). I hope it works for the chosen demographic. I do like the way you guys scripted the solo and group bits to highlight key issues (women like sex, if you are a bear, you need to go with bear lovers, etc.) I also like that you chose "real" looking people to represent the identifiable individuals. It all came across as natural and unforced - good thing these large universities have such good theater departments.

I'll try to get my teenagers to watch it.
28
I hope that kid in the medical center really is going to use condoms from now on, although I kind of doubt it from his demeanor. Really, he and his girlfriend made it to college and decide that it is a good idea to have sex without any birth control at all? Crazy.

That said, Dan seems to be much nicer to people in person than when he writes or reams them out on the phone.
29
I DVRd it - much too late for me to stay up these days.

I was impressed - well done. The only part of the show that annoyed me was the beeping out of unacceptable words. It's a show about sex, on at midnight. Stop censoring.

The kid and his girlfriend who had sex with no condoms and no other means of birth control were truly depressing. How far they will get in school with a kid?

I watched the show and loved every second of it. Dan has had an amazing impact on my life. If you would like to read more about it and see my shameless promotion of this new show and the potential impact I think it will have on America please go read my blog here: http://youngthespian42.blogspot.com/2012…
31
Is there anyway for us foreign types (Australia in my case) to see it? MTV blocks access to the US site for me
32
Yes please, someone put up a link for non US redidents! Please?!
33
@1 Me too! Me too!
Probably the first thing I've seen on MTV since a new years music-year-in-review show, hosted by the Thompson Twins.
34
No, wait, I take that back. I used to watch 120 minutes in college.
35
I'm in the had to DVR it crowd. I know that it's not on too late, I'm just too damn old!

Loved the show. Dan, you are fantastic to watch! You're a perfect balance of wisdom and compassion.
36
It's a shame all those yummy words need to be bleeped out. I'm mean, it's great a mainstream channel is supporting open sexual rhetoric, but I'd be super great if the words necessary to do so were not considered "obsene" by the government. Though I guess it is still a battle won!

Please wait...
