Kilmer's seat isn't open. It's not up until 2014, or if he resigns after winning the congressional seat, a special election would be held in Nov. 2013, following an appointment presumably sometime in January.

I don't think the Brown seat is really in play; Andy Billig has the name recognition, and Nancy McLaughlin hasn't done much in terms of fund raising.

add a very good shot at a D pick up in the 17th in SW WA- certainly far better than the R's shot in the 1st- and the chance of actually moving towards a more progressive Senate is in play.
