I don't see this as a problem at all for right-wing evangelicals. The problem with evangelicals is that they're always ready to forgive and don't require anyone to take ownership or responsibility for their sins, so long as they claim to be remorseful and repentent, and also are Republicans.
2
Does it really matter, though? No matter how much you get the evangelicals to dislike Romney, they'd never in a million years vote for Obama. Best you can hope for is that they won't vote at all, or that they'll vote for a useless 3rd party candidate. But I don't seriously see either of those things happening.

@2 is far more politically savvy than Paul Constant.
4
What? You mean Michelle Bachmann was right?

* head explodes *
5
but republicans won't hear about this.

sure as shit fox won't cover it.

@2,3: Neither of you think that a marked lack of enthusiasm for a candidate affects turnout? If hatred for the opposition is the only thing necessary for a lackluster candidate to win, Kerry would have been president in '04 (and he was fricking Eisenhower compared to the nothingness that is Romney).

2, You're right. Like "Gay" dude for Rmoney, evangelicals will blindly vote for the right wing guy, no matter who he is.
8
And to add to my post at 7: Lets face it, they're not going to vote for a black guy in a million years either.

@2,3:

You would do well to stop considering any group of people a completely monolithic bloc. I live next to two evangelical Christians who are voting for Obama, because they realize Romney is a mostly empty suit stuffed with lies.

They are not all unthinking bible thumpers, and they are not all one-issue voters. I realize that anecdotes are not evidence, but if I personally know two of them who are ditching the GOP this time round, there are many, many others out there.

@7: Gay does not need to be in quotes and you misspelled Romney.
@8: x% != Σ
11
@10 You're right. It should be spelled R-money.
12
@11 Perhaps R-moaning (wailing and gnashing of teeth)?
13
@Rob in Baltimore: you got it wrong, @2 is our resident house faggot. Putting the word gay in quotes is being way too respectful--of which that piece-of-shit does not deserve.
14
@13: So, you have now bequeathed Afreet as the resident house faggot? Thanks for letting us know.

@14 - I become more convinced every time you post that you are the commenter formally known as "raindrop."
