omg Jen, I'm stunned. Three days ago I was just telling my roommate from France, here for 3 months to do research, about the Vogels and the documentary.

We were in the RISD museum and walked into the gallery devoted to the 50 pieces to Rhode Island from the Vogel's collection. Although they collected sculpture and paintings as well, I love that they were partial to the drawings, especially the sketches before larger projects. It's like collecting a little of the brain and heart of the artist.

"Herb and Dorothy" is one of my favorite documentaries that I've watched a few times now. It's on Netflix livestream.

Sad news. RIP, Herb. You made the world a better place just by being yourself.

What a great guy. His and Dorothy's split-finance plan—her salary pays the bills, his salary buys art—is forever inspirational.
