Hey Dom, it's Yancy Noll (not Yoll). Thanks for getting the word out.
2
Um. It's Yancy Noll.
3

Dom, please correct the spelling of those who have died.

And I seriously hope they find this piece of human waste

4
@1) Thank you and fixed. Tuesday print deadlines and hasty typos... my apologies to the deceased.

I'm curious as to why they won't give any evidence to show that this was actually a "road-rage-type incident" and not just a completely random act of violence. A little more info would help. Frankly the description sounds NOTHING like road-rage.
8
...also the guy looks like a caricature of a hitman. The road-rage story just doesn't add up.
9
Could be Keanu Reeves ...
10
I can't say that I've ever seen Fnarf from precisely this angle, but I have my suspicions.
11
@7, 8:

It is a little suspicious. What are they hiding?!
12
Simon Cowell

@11, that's exactly what I'm asking. What about this incident sounds like road rage. Opposite directions, nobody out of their vehicle, shooting out his own window? If there was specific evidence leading to a road-rage analysis why not mention it. For example, "We think it's road rage because witness reported the suspect antagonizing the victim" or anything like that.

When sombody rolls up on someone with no exchange of words, shoots them 5 times through the window and speeds off, it sounds like more than just road rage.
14
@13 - I think you've mis-read. The shooter pulled up in the oncoming lanes in order to shoot the victim. They were not driving in opposite directions. He shot out his passenger window by shooting through his car, in order to shoot the victim. He didn't shoot out his driver-side window.
(That said, I agree, there is no information given as to why it's being claimed to be a road rage incident)
15
PS, I hang out in this area a lot. That's why I tend to want them to solve this shit more than the other 22 or so murders this year. #selfishreasons
16
@13 unless they were following the person after an incident which was already on tape ...
17
@14, You are correct. I did misread those details.
18
@16, that would be the type of evidence I would hope they would make public.
19
Have they contacted all the car window repair places? Seems like a logical place to start.
20
I would guess the car is loooong gone by now.
21
@20: I dunno. That shitpile who killed a cyclist in SLU last year didn't get rid of his car, I don't even think he got it fixed.
22
@21, I hear you. But I still believe there's more to this than road rage. And if it is road rage, the person involved was/is shady as fuck and probably no stranger to crime. Just look at that mug.
23
Attention conspiracy theorists!
Officials tend to make official statements. Official statements need to contain the facts. When things are really obvious, but yet don't have easily admissible evidence to prove them, they don't always get spelled out. This does NOT mean that there is a vast conspiracy afoot to cover up some more heinous TV type of plot.
Why would they say it's road rage and not give the exact details of it? Maybe they can't prove the facts of the road rage. Maybe it's messy. Maybe the victim started it. Maybe giving up too much information will make their case in court more difficult. Maybe keeping some details out of the press is helpful in weeding out bogus witnesses.
24
I obvs mean perp and not vic
25
being shady that is...

and no conspiracy, just over-analysing due to proximety in my case.
26
Thanks for posting. Yancy was a good guy. We need to catch this evil bastard.
27
23: Agreed. What's the obsession with the motivation anyway? Why do we need "more" to have this guy arrested?
28
@19: no doubt that's the 1st thing they did. next thing is a list of all silver z4s in the state and start eliminating people. but this press release is going to help find the vehicle. does your neighbor have that same car, but it's had a cover on it for a week?

given the location, it's entirely conceivable that a road rage incident happened on lake city way, which is a couple blocks north of there - an aggressive left turn down 15th?
29
Someone on CHS pointed this out - there was a South Seattle shooting in July by someone in a silver BMW who shot out the passenger side window at another car, when they refused to race. Sounds like quite a coincidence - maybe that's what they mean by "road rage". Very poor term to use no matter the situation though - it was murder, not a "road rage incident".

clearly, america's profusion of guns is making us safer. cafe racer, road rage shooting, etc. I just feel sorry for france and germany and japan, they have so many more shootings than we do, because there, people can't pull out their guns and stop the crazy enraged shooters, like we can do here. thank all the right wingers and nra for ensuring we don't have any of the crazy gun control stuff like they have in england, wales, ireland, sweden, norway denmark, germany france and japan and those other places that see violence of guns nearly on a daily basis!
31
Looks like they just pulled the suspect over on I5 just south of 145th.
Traffic was backed up to Seattle...when I got to 145th there were police and helicopters and the news all about 50 feet behind a silver BMW Z4 with a guy who looked like the composite sketch behind the wheel on the phone. Looks like they may have found him!

I just passed the cause of the bad traffic tonight... a silver BMW Z4 that had been pulled over with a guy who looks just like the composite sketch behind the wheel talking on the phone. The police, a news camera man were all standing about 50 feet behind him....helicopters over head.
Looks like we may have caught him!

I worked with Yancy for a while... I don't want to speak ill of the dead, but to be honest, the road rage theory has some merit.

Please wait...
