Glenn Beck would be proud

Carson City is a silver dollar's throw from the Comstock Lode (Virginia City), and was once important enough that they put a branch of the U.S. Mint there.

What's bred in the bone comes out in the [putrefying] flesh, I guess.

Sad if he truly doesn't have any heirs. $7M, however, may produce some.

@2, that's awesome in every way.

About 250 pounds, quite a bit, but gold is so dense the volume is the about the same or less than 10 standard masonry bricks. Not much diving.

A recluse hoarding gold? In Nevada? You don't say.

Seven mil is nothing to sneeze at, but a gold hoarding recluse in Nevada isn't out of the ordinary, just the amount he managed to hoard. Maybe he could've bought some friends instead of stockpiling.

I a few times during my youth I pretended to be Uncle Scrooge and dive/swim in gold (copper pennies at the time).

Shoot, with 7mil. I'd travel around Europe.
8
FAIL. You're supposed to spend the 7 million in Vegas and THEN die.
9
What happens to 7 million dollars when there are no heirs?

@9 - If there's no will, and no blood relative to come forward and claim it, it can become property of the state. In Nevada, I imagine that to entail a giant pair of craps table dice sticks appears and drag your possessions down a green felt street toward the capitol building.

Since when did anyone die in Duck Tales from jumping into a pit of money? I figured it was just Uncle Scrooge's daily swimming exercise.

Looks like Romney just lost a vote.
