Choosing not to spay a dog is not necessarily stupid. For an owned dog, whether or not to spay is a medical decision and frankly not your business.

@2 Not spaying your dog is definitely irresponsible. Especially since it seems like Nahla is outdoor quite often, being tied up outside bars and the like.

3 year old Nahla was TAKEN around 8:30 pm on Thursday 9/27 outside of a business on 45th ave and Latona( Seattle) She has tan and grey mixed fur with a white chest and white underbelly. She weighs about 50 lbs. She has golden eyes with dark
lining around the eyes and looks a bit wild like a wolf. She keeps her tail tucked most of the time.

Maybe you should check the sites out and maybe understand that not everyone lives in the world where there are grocery stores or VETS every where. We lived in Denali Alaska the closest VET and Grocery store was 2 hours away. I don't have a car. I was passing through Seattle and I have spent more than 480 hours looking for her. I am sure you know tuns of pet owners who would do that.

Also I did CHOOSE NOT TO SPAY HER. I know you don't know all the info and thank you for posting her. YES I am really bad at spelling, it also does not help when my dog was stolen.

I know that I have to live with this for the rest of my life and I wish every day i did not tie her up. I was concerned but every one said she would be fine and people tie their dogs up all the time. I was shocked to be in the city and just was a dumb country girl that trust people. I never left her more than 10 mins and was trying to work with her separation anxiety giving her treats when she did not wine for 5 mins. I know I am young and dumb but there are so many things I don't think people should do to dogs in the city that is custom. Like never socializing their dogs or keeping them in a little apartment to go on maybe a 1 hour walk once a day if they are lucky. Or getting a dog having it for 5 years and than just giving it away for what ever reason. These are all things that you should also not do with a child but are excepted with dogs. My dog never gets tied up or even has to be on a leash she goes with me where ever I go and runs free in Alaska and Colorado. I know that leash laws are there for a reason and i respect that. My dog would have sat by the door and waited for me and would have never let some one take her but because of leash laws she had to be on a leash. I am sorry I feel like shit and cant eat, sleep or do anything without thinking of the things that could be happening to my dog because i am irresponsible. I had my dream job lined up for me and I messed it all up because of this dog. I am sorry but I have met few people that feel the way about their pets as i do. I just cant take people telling me that I should have not tied her up. I KNOW THIS, and I KNOW this is MY FAULT just like YES i have checked and talked to the shelters in the area. That was the first thing i did and continue to do. I am tiring to take responsibility for my dog and my dumb decisions and continue to look for her even when there is nothing holding me up. I am sorry again I am just not having a good few months or year really.

Also Have you ever been to Alaska? because if you have been to Alaska you would see that I lived in the middle of NO WHERE Denali, Alaska where people don't steal your dogs and the closet VET and grocery store was 2 hours away. I am sorry I did not have a car and was trying to get home to get all the vet stuff done. some people don't have every thing right next to them.

My name is Mary and my dog, Nahla, was stolen in Seattle. Please read my story; I NEED YOUR HELP!

I have been traveling from Alaska to Colorado with Nahla and stopped in Seattle to visit friends. She was taken at approx. 8:30pm on 9/27 while tied up outside a business on 45th and Latona. Our neighbors heard her bark intensely and then suddenly stop, so we are c
ertain she was taken in a car. When they came outside to check on her, she was gone.

Nahla was abused before I adopted her and has extreme separation anxiety when away from me. She will not walk with anyone but me. She means the world to me. My plan was to leave for Colorado on 10/2, but I cannot leave Washington without her. To make things worse, my dad is getting deployed to Afghanistan on the 10/15, so I need to find her ASAP.

Nahla has never been in a big city, and I am sure she is very scared. I do not know many people in Seattle and have been doing most of the searching and outreach on my own. ANYTHING you and your friends can do to help would be so appreciated. If you are able to: print/ hang fliers, look through websites/newspapers, keep an eye out, tell all your friends, talk to pet shelters/vets, share her photo, etc., PLEASE HELP. Thank you so much in advance for your efforts. I can’t do this without you.

Mary, I have seen your flyers EVERYWHERE. I don't care what these jerks say. I have never seen someone who cares so much or tried nearly as hard as you have to find a lost pet. If anyone deserves to find a lost pet, its you. I truly truly hope you find her. I have been searching online and will continue to pass your flyer along until she is home safely. My Australian shepherd/ chocolate lab, Jake will be on the case as well. I know if something happened to him, I would hope people would be SUPPORTIVE and HELPFUL. But hey, I guess people being scum is the reason we're in this mess in the first place, so it can't be too surprising to find them here on the Internet with nothing better to do than make fun of people who are really hurting.

This is an update on Nahla. She is still missing after 4 months of searching for her.
We believe she is with someone that will not return her to her rightful owner. Mary has posted ads on Craigslist and many other places for the entire time Nahla has been missing.
She hasn't had any luck, only nasty emails and phony sightings of her. Please lord, is there not any nice people out there anymore,truly willing to help Mary find Nahla.

Mary is offering a CASH REWARD OF $2,000 for information leading to Nahla's safe return.

As a fellow head over heels lover of an aussie husky rescue, I have only warm thoughts and hopes for Mary and Nahla. I really hope you find her, Mary, and I know that wherever she is, she still loves you and does not blame you for any of this. The main thing to remember is not your mistake, but that you gave an abused being so much love and tender care. Karma is real and your love is always felt, no matter how things seem now. Perhaps nothing could help you in your search more than going to the pound and finding another sad yet glorious mutt whose life you will change in every good way...and vice versa.
