Apropos of nothing, if you didn't get enough Lesley Gore the other day on Slog, here she is in a pink catsuit resisting the lesbionic advances of Cat Woman and singing a Marvin Hamlisch song, "California Nights", on the "Batman" TV show, 1966: http://youtu.be/S7KXePXj1j0
To borrow from "Questionable Content", nobody should pay that much for someone's virginity. "Either you don't get your money's worth, or you do and all other [sex] is ruined for you."
McCain probably still resents Powell for endorsing Obama over him last time around.
I wonder what fucking "legacy" he means, anyway. Powell's fame and popularity are due solely to being the chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during Gulf War I, when America finally threw off the Viet Nam doldrums for good. He was an okay Sec'y of State but wasn't an insider, which hampered his effectiveness to the point of keeping him from having much of a legacy there, other than as their tool for getting the world behind Gulf War II, which is the legacy he's been trying to disown ever since. Even so, he's worth a dozen McCains in my eyes.

Ugh..the polls aren't good. But what does the MSM say? Elections tighten up at the end...it helps them sell air time to candidates and groups pushing various ballot measures.
That said, I am trying to adjust to the fact we are probably going to have an anti-choice, gay hating freak as govenor of the state and we are going to be fucked over with charter schools and the pot initiative failing.
The upside? I think R-74 is going to barely pass but don't expect a final count of approval until mid to late November, Maria will go back to DC as well as Jim. Oh and Grand Bargin Obama will easily carry Washington State as well as get his second term with the pretty much the same congressional make up he currently has.
I wonder if maybe ya'all could avoid linking to the Seattle Olde Timesy quasi-news source at least until they get the stink of McKenna off their pages. Although I guess reporting about snakes is their forte.

Yes, I've noticed some of their transmissions (tweets) at times appear to be a bit...unmanaged.
And now, we finally know.
