It was not until popular opinion shifted in favor of Marriage Equality that Joe Biden led the President to a more highly evolved state.

There are very few people at the federal level that are in this for altruistic reasons. Everyone is in it for the money. Rove, Dick Morris, Mark Penn, John Edwards, you name it. Corruption is to politics what ants are to a picnic. Some ants are drawn by the money, some by the power. Very few are drawn by their morals and ethics. Maybe Bernie Sanders, but that's it.

I work at a direct mail company that fulfills orders for a lot of extreme right wingers: Bachmann, Issa, Santorum, etc.

The guys who work in that department, the ones ordering statistics models for those republican's campaigns, are serious, die-hard, extreme right wingers themselves.

They all hope Obama is re-elected. Why? Because their business will skyrocket if he is. The candidates they work for will go apeshit and their donors will trip over themselves giving them money.

If a republican is elected, or even worse, if a republican is elected AND the senate and house also are republican majority controlled, they'll lose business.

If Barack Obama had been out there flying the gay pride flag in 2008 and doing his best to get a 100% rating from folks like you, he would never have been elected. If he had started doing so once in office, he wouldn't be in position to be re-elected now. And here's the thing I know your small brain finds so hard to process. If he'd established himself from Day 1 as "the first gay president," he would have accomplished far less than he has for gay rights.
