How incompetent does one have to be NOT to operate a profitable business that sells fat infused sugar cakes to the fattest population in all of history?

2
I'm usually wary of neologisms, but "Bained" passes the full array of tests.
3
Business conduct contrary to the general welfare of the public.

I think that the problem is assuming that their goal was to continue to operate Hostess.
Rather, I think that their goal was to loot as much as they could then leave.
The next CEO would come in and loot whatever he could and then leave.
Until we are, finally, at the point where there is nothing left to loot.
So the company will be broken up and sold off.

While I care not one whit about Hostess's bastardization of "food" and it's disappearance, I am outraged that financiers continue to be allowed to feast on the backsides of regular people with jobs.

I clicked through anticipating to read a story about gossip columnists and Jill Kelly.
Same thing happened yesterday: "Hostess to be liquidated". Headline sounded like it would be about the CIA response to the scandal, but no.

wow

why doesn't obama do something about this?

The troll's continued impotent butthurt over the elections continues to be much more delicious than anything Hostess ever made.

Big news today is moving to Chapter7 (or was it 6) from Chapter 11 and selling Twinkies again. Ding Dongs still dead. God, I used to get so excited when I had one of those ...

You know something is up when they claim they need to cut workers salaries for the second time to keep afloat due to debt, but once they go out of business they want to give the executives who ran the company into the ground their incentive bonuses.

@11 - Ah, so you are a fan of bailouts now. Good to see that hanging out on this blog has changed your perspective.

is that it?

Ha, the troll is now calling for more government intervention into the private sector. How strange.

So much butthurt.
