One of the kittens in Picky the green cat's litter (we found the litter in a GM plant) had a runny nose all the time. He died of a brain tumor around 2 months. It was his brain fluid leaking out his nose... :(

R train.

I know Seattle U does the puppy thing so you could walk over there and pretend to be a student.

At this juncture, I can only believe that any new evidence in the Zimmerman case is either made up or photoshopped all to hell. Just send the jackass to PMITA already.
5
Knife control, blah blah blah.

We need an autoplay warning on the subway story, please.

And lord, I hope they get the hockey season going and that it doesn't screw the players over again.

Also, Jovan Belcher and Kassandra Perkins had been receiving couples therapy courtesy of the Kansas City Chiefs, and they might have argued over how late she had stayed out the night before. Neither are proof of domestic violence or controlling behavior, but whether Belcher was an abuser or not is key to understanding whether this crime has any place in the debate over gun control.

"Republicans Balk at Short-Term Stimulus in Obama Plan"

This is great news right?

The play is called dead, Democratic runners advance a base and Obama resumes at the previous count.

Zimmerman was always going to walk. He was attacked, and because of the interpretation of Stand your Ground, his shooting of Martin was, in all likelihood, techically legal, especially since Zimmerman was doing nothing technically illegal at the time.

Which is unspeakably sad, but we can only prosecute based on the laws we have. Obviously the law needs to be rewritten/undone, but one can not hold that against Zimmerman at this juncture. Even though he is a killer, he will not be found guilty of murder.

I'm really surprised no one helped the guy on the subway tracks. It was always a fear of mine, and I like to think I'd have jumped to someone's rescue. You never know what you'd do in shock, but a Times Square N/R platform is pretty crowded all day Monday.

@8: Ha! If only!

NHL strike is not over:

The hockey world was abuzz Monday when WBZā€™s Steve Burton reported that the NHL could announce a CBA agreement as soon as Tuesday or Wednesday, but Bill Daly stomped the rumor out to Sports Illustratedā€™s Sarah Kwak.

Daly told Kwak that ā€œnot a single morselā€ of the scuttlebutt was true and expanded upon that thought with TVAā€™s Patrick Caisse.

ā€œIā€™m aware of the reports making the rounds,ā€ Daly said. ā€œUnfortunately, there is no truth to them.ā€

George Zimmerman was heavier when he was arrested. See this photo. Notice the cheeks, see how fuller the face is?
Now here's that new photo. See how narrower the cheeks are?

@ 12, it's a lockout, not a strike. The distinction matters.
15
Central core urban density made both subway victim and perp much happier than train pushers in sprawl.

Ok, this is a first.

I went to look up something on Lowes.com and...I got put in a waiting line!

Yes, they put me on a page with a vid of 5 five people standing in line, and the message "everyone wants to get in...we'll get to you next"!

Guess it's a good sign for e-tail.
17
@14, legally 'yes,' in relation to false rumors that the lockout is over, not in any meaningful sense.

I would not be surprised if Iran captured another drone.

It's not too hard to mess those up, if you know what you're doing.
20
@19: Well by all means, tell us about the time you messed up a drone, if it's sooooooo easy.

There must be a serious dick shortage in Seattle. Slog is snarky as all hell. Or is there a mass manstraution this week?

The guy running the hardest to save the guy who got pushed in front of the train was the photographer. According to this story: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/natio…
