With all the turmoil now going on in the State Senate -- coping with the turncoat Democrats joining the Republican caucus, I can't see how Murray can be both an effective leader for the Democratic minority and also a candidate for Seattle's highest office.

He should decide which he wants to be, and personally I vote for an effective, very effective Democratic leader in the State Senate.
