Now would be a good time to head on down to the pro shop and get a #3 Russell Wilson jersey before they're sold out for the season.

American capitalism is capitalism at its worst. Meg Whitman should be ashamed. But shame has no business in capitalism. So, what's left? Just pure toxic greed. Where should that leave everybody else? Revolution! But, without guns. Right? Meg Whitman just made at least 29,000 people start suffering for her own profit.

These dots they fit together somehow...

Meg Whitman has a good reputation as a manager. HP was royally fucked beyond recognition and she's been called on to keep the ship from sinking.

It lost money-- no saying it wouldn't have lost much more under somebody else.

It let people go-- and probably many more to come. It's a sinking ship. The best talent left years ago and bad talent got hired. Expect most of upper/middle management to get replaced over 5 years if the company can turn itself around. Good employees will be cut in the process, but hopefully re-hired later.

If you want to write a story about the failure of capitalism, write about Carly Fiorina and how she steered one of the greatest tech companies in history straight into an iceberg and then ran away with the cash.

Non-tech people tend to confuse Fiorina and Whitman because they both ran failed Republican campaigns in the same election. But to people in the industry, they are night and day. (I've never met either. Purely second-hand)

No saying HP can ever be pulled from the shitter, but don't blame Whitman for grabbing the wheel at this point.

Nice compensation for doing a shitty job.

That's what you get when you let a girl run things...

@3 Yeah! She's only been at the wheel for 7 wee...no...mont...no...years?! She's been at the wheel for 7 years?! I know internal employees who say she's not as bad as Carly, but that's like saying mercury isn't as bad as battery acid when you ingest it.

Please wait...
