Had to look up "geoduck." That also explains (I think) the arm-sized clubs of meat arranged at its base. How does one eat those anyway?

How is it that the Geoduck is not the state bird, and possibly also the state vegetable, the state flower, and the state gem - indeed, the state everything? Does anybody greatly care about the Goldfinch?

Geoducks are one of the longest lived creatures on Earth, with the oldest one known being 168 years old. I make a habit of of NOT eating things older than I am.
