hi megan i would go if i we lived up there (and had a babysitter). you should do a regular nhl column too. why not. seattle doesn't like hockey, it would be perfect.
@5 Biter he may be but tell me what you would do in this scenario
-Your arms are being held behind your back and someone is cramming their fingers down your throat. How long would this need to continue before you bit down?
Watch the replay of the biting incident with that in mind and see what you say then.
@12 No, no. The last time I was at the Angry Beaver to watch hockey, I saw a lot of Red Wings fans (much to my chagrin, I'll admit). There are quite a few Michiganders who have relocated to Seattle.
I have it on my calendar. Will they be showing all the games? Go Sharks! I get off at 5:00, so it will take a while to get through traffic, but save me a seat. Woot!
Mrs. BHL (a Winnipeg native still getting used to there being Jets again) has informed me that our plans for the evening are canceled in favor of this. So...see you there!
@ 14, I wouldn't conclude that Seattle was overrun by Michiganders on that evidence alone. It's possible*, but the Redwings have been the most successful team of the past 20+ years, and that wins a team fans. (That said, I'd hate to be in a bar full of them, too.)
(Denver is overrun by Nebraska Cornhusker fans, but that is because lots of people from Nebraska move to Denver when they can finally get the fuck out of there.)
@2 Hopefully, if it's a success, we'll do more! Especially when playoffs start.

I dream of finding a bar in Baton Rouge that shows hockey. Heck, I dream of people in Baton Rouge who know that hockey exists.
