I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Yesterday's oral arguments were even more moronic than I expected. Nice to see that the (In)Justices have given basically zero thought to the rights of gay couples--apparently us new-fangled homos haven't been around as long as cell phones or that internet thingy.
No wonder they don't allow video, the audio and transcripts are embarrassing and intelligence-insulting enough.
@7: including those who have been denied their civil rights is not the bug bear "government expansion" nor is fascism. And yes, I'm sure in the past other civil rights leaders have been pleased by their victories as well and even had the temerity to congratulate themselves.
You are on the wrong side of history.
7,14, et al. Whenever I read your posts, I get the image of Michelle Bachmann, Jan Brewer, running away from reporters asking to back up their claims that have no basis in fact. Palin resigned in much the same way. Reality & facts are chasing you & you're doing your best to avoid them.
oooohh....
our nipples are getting hard

If the push for gay marriage is like the civil rights movement of the 60s, did the civil rights movement have this much self-back patting?
:)
Reading the blog posts makes me nervous. But that's what lawyers and judges do to me I guess.
You are on the wrong side of history.
Holy fuck, I lol'd.

If SCOTUS decides it is a violation of state's rights, so be it.
But then again, the Civil War was also about the violation of state's rights. That didn't turn out so well either for some.
