@22, MSNBC is saying "no arrest", CNN still sez "arrest has been made, I think". But yeah, lots of talking by people who don't know anything. I know he's kind of a folk hero to some gay people, but Anderson Cooper looks really ridiculous when he's standing out on the street pretending he's reporting breaking news.

My favorite moment so far was Cooper and some other asshole exclaiming mightily over how "incredible" it was that some of the 500,000 people who were there taking pics and videos were savvy enough to go back and look at those pics and vids afterwards.

@17, all the conspiracy site jabber I've seen is about any number of different guys who may or may not be carrying bags in some photos and maybe or maybe not in others, and who "look suspicious". Most of them are in fact thinking about their lunch.

Now the TV dipshits are talking about the ricin, which is a ridiculous non-threat.

I used to shop in that Lord & Taylor all the time.

There is pretty much nothing but pure speculation that the guy you're talking about was the guy. He has a backpack, that's all. There were probably 100,000 backpacks there.

Boston PD could say there was no arrest by them, when in fact it was the FBI who are now in charge.

If The Stranger wouldn't parrot every stupid thing that comes down the AP from other hyperventilating media outlets then maybe you guys wouldn't look like idiots, too. Look. you're in Seattle. your not at risk of losing a scoop. So relax and wait until there is real news.

Here's a a suggestion: Don't post an update about a legal proceeding or law enforcement action during events like a terrorist attack unless those reports are from the trained official investigators on the god damned scene.

I understand the shut-ins on SLOG and goofballs on facebook compulsively posting every stupid rumor, but do you so-called professional journalists need to do the same thing?

Game over folks, it's now been confirmed beyond any doubt that multiple Craft Internal security personnel, a Blackwater-style private military/security firm, were spotted feet away from the blast zone carrying large backpacks. Immediately after the first blast one can be seen carrying an “Inspector Radiation Alert” device that detects the kind of radiation which would be produced in a dirty bomb attack or a nuclear attack. That's in the immediate aftermath of the first blast. None of this is being covered in the mainstream media.
