I have interacted with many fine police officers in Seattle.

Sadly, it's the rare jerks that stand out.

I would tell anonymous and her sister to contact the police department and let them know about this positive encounter (a letter would be best) - they hear so much shit that it would be nice to get something like this into a personnel file somewhere.
