It's the first step toward the world Caliphate!!! And a stealth Reconquista!!!!
4

Maybe add some chorizo to have a meat in the mix. :D
5
I think this is what's known as "vegan infrastructure".
6
i once got food poisoning from hummus. so it's not all sunshine and puppies, vegan overlords.
7
According to the Paleo blather these foods are literally poisonous.
8
Hummas is better with pita. A soft flat pita that's warmed a little before serving. Everybody knows this. COME ON!
9
@6

I don't eat sunshine and puppies.

Further proof that WA state rules.

Fuck hummus. It tastes almost, but not exactly, like garlic flavored dirt.
12
11, mmmmm...... garlic flavor...... ::drools::

I've been eating lentils for lunch all this month to save pennies! Week 1 was Minestrone Lentils, Week 2 has been Curried Lentils. Week 3 will be Chili Lentils/Beans. Week 4 will be frozen Minestrone, Curry, Chili leftovers. All cooked in a cock pot with a bunch of food processed veggies.

I'm pinching pennies because I found out I will have moving costs in Sept 1st. Landlord is putting the house on the market.

14
I don't think we should be taking culinary advice from someone who knows so much about what tastes "almost" or "exactly" like garlic-flavored dirt.
15
@8 is correct.

Garlic flavored dirt tastes different.
16
Neat. Our kids might actually eat lentils made from pork. God bless America.

Hummus is fucking delicious, as long as it's made with plenty of tahini, which basically means if I make it myself. Fuck your weak pre-packaged hummuses.

Actually, lentils are fucking delicious too.

Man, I like Maria Cantwell.

Aren't a fair number of people as allergic to chickpeas as some are to peanuts? I know I am. Have to make sure the restaurant is well ventilated if they serve hummus or falafel or it's asthma time for me. I've even read of a couple if kids dying just from the fumes off of cooking chickpeas.

Please wait...
