Good lord. I don't think I'd want to take a look at any kitchen in the ID, but the staff at that GL are all really nice at least when I used to frequent the place.

Never got Green Leaf, personally. Seemed pretty generic and not all that great. Interfering with a health inspector seems like an especially bad idea.

I eat lunch there with some frequency, and every time I'm there I see people from the Health Department eating noodles or pho. It's an easy walk from their offices, and I imagine it's a favorite lunch spot for them too. Makes sense that they would be paying special attention to a place where they eat regularly. The lesson here is to be very wary of letting the Man into your place of business.

@1, YOU'RE SO RIGHT. ASIANS ARE DISGUSTING. BUT NICE.

Green Leaf is pretty great. My sister and her hubby often choose it for get-togethers. Last time we were there Eric Ripert was eating at the table behind me.

Its a sure bet most of the employees didn't have food handlers permits, because if you didnt, you usually get a slap on the wrist and a 2 week grace periot to get those permits . If you dont have a handwashing sink, wow thats a huge red flag.

Green Leaf is amazing and stands out in a town with plenty of above-average Vietnamese food. Bet Tamarind Tree is behind this.
9
Green Tea's iced Vietnamese coffee is the most dangerous substance known to man, and has to be deployed very, very carefully. A casual sipper could easily lose his or her mind and drink forty of them in a row, causing bankruptcy and intestinal rupture. It IS that good.

i only ever went there once but it was delicious, and i always meant to go back. guess i'll go to belltown?

Please wait...
