As someone who pays property tax through my landlord, I would rather risk having a bit of my tax money fund a candidate I might not like (as well as one I hopefully do) than be stuck with a slate of candidates who have all peddled their ass, one way or another, to the rich in order to be viable. However, I do completely understand why the Seattle Times might side with the ass-peddlers.
I learned early on that the use of "clearly" in an attempt to persuade others doesn't work, because if your point were "clear," then you wouldn't need to be making it. Might I suggest the same applies to "fuck." If you use "fuck" in a post so many times that it becomes distracting, you've passed the point of persuasion and entered into the world of electronic tagging/venting. Meaning, most rational folks have lost any interest in what you say and just find you annoying.
