All in all, it's not bad. We have an openly gay Paul Schell as Mayor-elect. O'Brien won. Bellamino lost. Districts were approved. Eyeman was trounced. The eastside was the eastside, and the $15 minimum wage at SeaTac won!

And while the mayor's race didn't turn out like I hoped it would, the nice thing about Seattle is that we always have basically the same Mayor. The names change, but the positions never do. obviously this vote against McGinn was against painting general purpose lanes into bike lanes, "traffic calming" by buses stopping at protruding bus bulbs and blocking the whole street, his pushing us towards paying for another palace for the NBA, a mayor who does a horrible job of pandering (be it gun melts/anti-gun stickers/gigabit rollout is finally happening/flying to NYC to kiss David Stern's ?ring?), and petty standoffs with the SCC over not signing documents on things he said he won't block.
