Sad news. Grover/Thurston is the first name that comes to mind when it comes to great local galleries showing contemporary art. I have fond memories of seeing a Terry Turrell collection there a few years ago and being in awe. And Fay Jones, James Lavadour--just northwest art geniuses.
Forgive me for seeing this as further evidence of the decline of civilization. And I'm sure I'm partially to blame. For all my admiration of Grover/Thurston, I've never found myself in a situation in life to consider buying art.
