Let's see- a day spent with the comically sincere ignorant self made victims spitballing inane ideas or cleaning my truck and tools....

Yep. That truck hasn't been properly cleaned in weeks! But hey, counting nails and screws in the shed would be better than the pity party at Garfield.

@1: Let's see, an MLK day spent trolling and race-baiting, or one spent shutting the fuck up for once. I see what you chose.

Hey, are you going to show your wife this post? What does she think of how you choose to spend MLK day?

Although with oversight by competent adults the Youth Court has promise. Sort of a return to a jury of ones peers. Still, the rest of it would be humorless hipsters naval gazing, so back the nails and screws. Wow, 4 pounds of 1 5/8 CT drywall screws! Who knew?

@2

Where did I mention race, you half wit?
Protip- I can like a general idea, racial equality for example, without liking many of the hacks and whiners who latch onto it to justify their own ineptitude.

The progress this nation has made with MLK acting as needed catalyst was and is needed. I just don't think sitting in a classroom whining is progress.

@4: You don't have to mention race to be a race-baiting troll. All you have to do is drop some code words like "self made victims" in comments on a post that is about racial justice and equality.

But you know that, of course. You are the genteel sort of bigot that has learned how to use the right language in an attempt to conceal your attitudes.

You even say you are in favour of equality; you just don't like people who talk about it. Talking about it is just "whining". Which of course neglects that fact that discussing a problem is a major step in developing solutions to that problem.

But no worries, well done. You have successfully trolled. An MLK day well spent. Go play with your tools.

All right, state a problem. People who are black can't afford gentrifying areas anymore, for example.

First, this isn't a racial problem, it's a money problem. Realtors will happily show a house to a black couple with the money to buy it. That couple could seek job skills, save money, pay bills on time so their credit score is sufficient and buy the house. There is NO structural or legal bar, nor even a social one, to their home purchase wherever they want to buy.

So is it a government responsibility to ensure that the CD has a certain percentage of black residents? How about the International District, how many Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean and so on residents should the city force to stay there?

Treating adults like children who couldn't get a college education, job or housing without government assistance is itself racism. I certainly would resent anyone treating me that way. Rather than spend the day crying about what the can't do, these folks would honor MLK better out there doing what they CAN.

Or, shorter-

Fuck you, you self righteous ass.

@ Seattleblues: there you go again showing us what a horrible "Christian" you are. So, your pastor aware of this side of you?

@9
Good point, and for my last comment I do apologize.

For the rest of course I in no way regret what was written.

I for one don't need your apology. You have shown time and again that you are a hateful and petty person. You try to cover it with a veneer of civilty but you just can't help but let the mask slip.

If you aren't a race-baiting troll, then why even bother commenting on this post?

Please wait...
