I'd like him to focus on police accountability and better transit around Seattle. And maybe tackle our internet issues? Oh, maybe push the council to put the legislation together for the $15.00 an hour minimum wage.

Sorry, he's got bigger issues to deal with than your hobby horse. And if he only puts "ceremonial support" behind this, we'll live.

The name 'City of Literature' may work for them, but it would be disingenuous for Slog to support such a thing. Perhaps you can propose a name change to 'City of Articles and Videos of Republicans.'

Cato the Younger--I agree 100% that the issues you mention are more important than our bid to become a UNESCO City of Literature. I'd add growth management, civil rights, and schools to that list. That said, I still think this designation will have a positive economic impact on Seattle, and I believe it's worth pursuing.
