I feel sorry that no one's commented on your story, so here goes:

I went last night and thought it was hands-down the worst exhibit I've ever seen at SAM. People were literally laughing. This is definitely a case of somebody famous getting a pass because he was old and revered.

The sculptures, however, are much better than the paintings. But if you're on the fence, don't waste your $$.
