Congratulations if you can dig yourself out of the snow and get married!

@1: It's actually been pretty warm lately, and a lot of the snow has melted. It hit about 45F yesterday, and we were about ready to run outside in t-shirts and shorts! Of course, now we're getting freezing rain and scattered snow flurries when the temperature dips, and it's windy as fuck. I suggest instead:

Congratulations if you can find a spot secluded from the wind where your officiant can conduct the ceremony without getting blown away like a plastic bag in a cyclone so you can get married!

Jan Brewer is an obstinate See-You-Next-Tuesday. She takes sadistic glee in doing anything viewed as "anti-librul" or "anti-Democrat" simply to piss off those who are Left leaning. The only thing accomplished by sending her a message that discrimination is wrong will be to affirm her belief signing the bill is the right thing to do. The only reason she's holding off is because local businesses fear the backlash Utah suffered after Prop 8 passed.

@3 Actually Brewer has been surprising for bucking her party, such as expanding Medicaid (ie Obamacare) in her state.

Of course she's also gone off the deep end on immigration. So really we have no idea how she will act and, in fact, calling or writing her office might make a difference, especially if you are a voter in her state.

She might actually be reasonable in this matter. And I say that as a Democratic activist.
