I love that she considers Ruby Tuesday "upscale".
3
I can't imagine I'm the only one who initially read that as "the servers were black, and those I have met are well-trained and courteous" and nearly choked.
4
restaurant troll is trolling.
5
where does the original review live? i cant seem to find it, google non withstanding.
6
Never ventured into a Ruby Tuesday. I've been to Grand Forks, though. The people there are indeed as pleasant as any you'll find. Otherwise, its charms are modest.

@6,

It is a very adequate city.

@5 The link is in the article, above the quoted extract. Click on "back with a review of Ruby Tuesday."

Or, because I like you, CLICK HERE

I believe @5 is talking about the Olive Garden one, which appears to have been pulled from the site. Perhaps all the attention was a bit insulting.

He did take me back. Oh Five Guys.

I hear my grandmother's voice reading those words. While I loathe Ruby Tuesday, the review reminds me of simpler times and a more quiet world.

"You can go light with a salad. Or you can opt for anything from an appetizer to a full dinner...."

Finally! A restaurant that offers salad, appetizers AND a main course! So unusual!

I also like that there is only one reference to the taste of anything-"sharp tasting cheese".

At least she understands proper adjectives though ("healthful"). I'll give her that.

WTF, the guy's burger has cheese falling off the burger and sticking to the not-to-be-consumed foil and he was served the wrong item (un-ordered bacon on the burger) and he has a self-gasm in his car over it ?

No, Paul. No, no, no, no, no.

These reviews are incredibly sad. All I can ever think about when I read them is how cramped the poor lady's world has been that a trip to a chain restaurant is worthy of praise. Children are innocent, but grown adults are tragically ignorant.

And if this is "folk reviewing," then it's folk reviewing that has been immediately co-opted by businesses. She is supplying their marketing departments with a bit of folk authenticity. Makes me wretch.

Please wait...
