Just like that tumbler yesterday.....

I think it's different than the tumbler yesterday. For one thing, the work is signed.

Also, this is satirizing the empowered, a valid subject. Ridiculing the disempowered is unamusing to me.

@1 That was the same initial reaction I had, but decided LMcGuff is right. It's not really my thing to be nasty about other people's clothes, empowered or not, but there is an important distinction to be made here.

Here's a cool fashion blog for anyone who is interested! Through an unflattering lens, the subjects might come off in a totally different way. That is fortunately not the case. I love this blog:

I havent seen the whole show, but the three images shown all get their zing from making fun of women being less than fashion model perfect.
Its great that they are rich, sure, I approve of making fun of the rich- but arent there any funny looking rich MEN in this show?
Or, are the rich men not as exciting, because they just wear black suits, while the women obviously waste money on "fashion" that doesnt help their inherent age and imperfection?

Sorry, but I think it is more like than unlike the fashion blog about Seattle.
Its easy shooting fish in a barrel, especially fish with too much plastic surgery.

I like these. From these three examples, I don't see it as humiliating the powerful, but humanizing them. They're people, wrapped in skin with creases and sun damage, wrapped again in fabric and paint. At this level, they aren't substantially different from any of us. They're vulnerable.
