Speaking of the Oso landslide, the Mariners, Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association have combined to donate $225,000 for recovery efforts, and volunteers will also be collecting donations outside of Safeco Field tonight.

Aside from Robinson Cano, it's been encouraging what the younger players have done in the first week. They're going to be the key if the Mariners are going to make any progress this year. I'm cautiously optimistic so far.
