When I saw the link was to SPU, I knew it would be a treat: What are those fucked-up Christers doing today?

But it wasn't like she'd done something evil, like having beer on campus...

This whole thing is just like Residence Life everywhere I've ever heard of. So much drama from so little provocation.

So glad I avoided SPU.

Hmmm, if I were suicidal, you know what *might* push me over the edge? Losing my job, my housing and my savings in one fell swoop because my mental and emotional stability was being questioned and I was powerless to influence the outcome.

@3: Exactly. Also, having an artistic outlet to express despair is protective against suicide. That's why art therapy exists.

Though, the drama of having it constantly on display is particularly furled by their age & stage..

I'm once again grateful that I never lived in a dorm at a Christianist college. What ridiculous bullshit.

As a student at SPU, we are also fed up with Res. Life. I know SPU has taken some heat on here, but we honestly have enjoyed our experiences here. The community is strong, education is solid, and it is very lax compared to other Christian schools. That being said, the school's biggest downfall is Res Life, and we're all on the same team here.

Reminds me of Chris O'Dowd's sister in "Family Tree", who could only communicate difficult thoughts (usually horribly offensive) through her constant companion, a monkey hand-puppet.

Please wait...
