There are many of us who think Scott is the smartest flexible invested visual art community leader in Seattle. Glad he is hinting about staying around. There are many open positions in the region, curatorial, administrative, outreach, creative. I sure hope he lands well...actually, I know he will! Bravo Scott. Coffee Klatch again??

Hey Scott ,
Your passion for art is inspiring . I have always appreciated the way that you
introduced me to the joy of collecting. I look forward to finding out about your next adventure. It's been too long since we chatted about paintings and math proofs :-)

You forgot to mention, aside from his other myriad past accomplishments, his screwing Robert Hardgrave over for 20k. It's too bad that The Stranger aborted that article before completion.

Setting the record straight @Kajil: I sold two of Robert's paintings for 20K, failed to pay him in a timely fashion (borrowing from Peter to pay Paul), lied to him to buy more time, the sale fell through (fully due to my machinations), but the works WERE returned to him. I have apologized to him in a myriad of ways and tried to gracefully let him handle the sale directly with the client, therefore forfeiting any profits the gallery may have made. It was a full mea culpa, and I did what I could to try to salvage the situation for his sake.

I may have lied to Robert and ruined a sale, and that will always appropriately haunt me as the single-most despicable act I did as a dealer, but I am no thief as you imply.

Please wait...
