A public platform inviting opinions on the police? I never thought that would backfire. Never in a million years.

Jonah Spangenthal-Lee needs to show 'em how it's done!

Shameful treatment of innocent citizens just minding their own business in a totally peaceful manner….

A national dialogue on racism? When did that happen? All that I remember from #CancelColbert is that an idiotic social justice warrior was brutally mocked for her own racism and inability to form a coherent argument. Hashtag activism isn't a thing. The media wants it to be, but it has never done anything, nor will it do anything. 140 characters are not enough to form a persuasive argument. It is simply a battle of quips among self-important people.

As a brown guy I've never ha a problem with the SPD or any other police, always been very polite.

@5: There are many other brown guys who were just as polite as you who have been brutalized by the cops. That you haven't been has nothing to do with your behavior and everything to do with the Luck of the Draw.

I like how that one cops just threw the guy in to the street and the other cops circled in like sharks for the kill.

@5

As a black guy Ive had problems with them and other regional LEO's. So has every other black guy and gal I know that has spent even a moderate amount of time in the Puget Sound region. The same goes for about half the brown guys and gals I know about 3 of the 4 red guys Ive met here.

And not just here either. How many 'not white' people have you ever met that have had the pleasure of being physically assaulted by law enforcement, yet never charged or even arrested for anything? Im guessing its somewhere between half and 9/10ths of every black and brown (latino, no asian) person youve met that lives in an American urban center.
