Washington has both a state supremacy clause on firearms regulations (remember when the Nickels tried his stupid gun bans?) and open carry. It's anarchy!
2
This will be a good state test study. If armed robbery and shootings plummet, it will be a contributing factor.
Note that I said "if".
3
Now there's no reason you can't Second Amendment ANYONE!! FREEDOM everyone FREEDOM!!!!!
4
If it works for the first time ever, anywhere, it will be solid evidence more guns equals more peace - fuck Chekhov's. If it doesn't work, needs more guns. Solid arguments astroturfer's. How much are the checks for?
5
The cases are less crime, same, good, and more crime bad. so 2/3 odds gun control is an overblown issue.
6
And there will still be 10x less gun crime in Kansas than there is in chicago, where, you know, the evil handguns are illegal and stuff.
7
So now Dorothy and Toto would shoot the wicked witch, instead of pouring water on her?

#6: The reason Chicago has firearms is because guns are trafficked into the city from places with more lax gun regulations. Let's stop pretending that Chicago is a closed economic system that magically generates its own guns--it's an argument that belongs in the dumpster of bullshit rhetoric.
9
If these people get any more hot for their weapons, they're gonna start shoving them up their anuses.

oh.
so thats why chicago has guns.
yawn...

the question is,
why do they use them to slaughter themselves?

what is broken in chicagoans that makes them such murderous animals?
11
@9 Er....that type of gun fetish has been out there for awhile.

*there are some pretty strange rabbit holes on the internet.
12
I sure hope the Kansas (& Georgia) bills also appropriated a lot more money for hospital emergency room funding...
13
Although it may result in fewer Republicans (a good thing), it will also possibly result in fewer Republican children and collateral damage to non-Republicans (a very bad thing.)

In any case, has hardened my resolve to never set foot in Kansas, Georgia or other rightwing nutball states.

@2: Um, you do realize this is already the law in Washington state, and has been for, I believe, forever or close to it.

Washington state nullifies local restrictions, including on open carry, exactly as quoted in the article.

I'm not saying that's a good thing, but I get really frustrated by the faux-outrage by people advocating regulations on guns when it's obvious they have no fucking clue what they're talking about, and don't even know the laws of the place they fucking live.

#14 Elton John wannabe should have more respect for Phoebe. She's middle of the road, objective and honest. I hope you don't go out dressed like that at night.
16
And also, just because it's O.K. to use profanity in this medium, it doesn't make you appear to be very clever.
17
@15: You're talking about Don Cherry. DON FUCKING CHERRY.

@16: And as far as reading comprehension, I've no idea where you get the idea I was trying to be clever by using profanity. You might have better interpreted that as an expression of frustration, particularly since in the beginning of the sentence I said "...but I get really frustrated by..."

Reading takes practice. Work on it.
18
You are a goober. You're frustrated because you look stupid, dress stupid and seem to have quite a high opinion of yourself. That's O.K. if you deserve it, but in your case I would go back to posting on the My N.W. com. loser column.
19
You have no idea what I look like or how I dress.

Again with the inability to read...

Please wait...
