The EU should start planning now for a wave of Ukrainian refugees fleeing the coming Russian invasion.
2
Who wants to bet that the stabbing suspect is another sexually repressed, under socialized white kid? I'm not a racist, but the police really need to look at who is committing these crimes and crack down on these out if control honkies who are making it unsafe for our kids to go to school.

We don't like Zonkeys.
5
Knives should be banned.
6
@4 not to mention the entitlement! And where are the parents?!? Probably down at wal-mart buying guns and 80 packs of diet coke.

If Washington won't teach the test, our kids are going to suffer. 47th in funding education is enough to vote everyone of them, but defying the federal government on common core is setting up Washington to be the first state where the federal govt takes over the education. I question the long-term goal(s) of common core (especially when federal tax breaks return to billionaires their investment in a charter school in 7 years), but this has to be one of the worst responses by a state. Why agree to have kids write the test and then not prepare properly for it? It guaranteed Washington schools would get failing grades.

Prom proposals these days are dramatic, over-the-top events in their own right, consisting of hot-air balloon skywriters, choreographed song-and-dance routines, or commandeered P.A. annoucements (contrast: twenty-five years ago, asked lovely Rowena A. to the junior prom while standing in front of her locker and staring at my own shoes*). I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the lad made a big, public proclamation of his love to win her back, and felt embarrassed when the young lady turned him down. The obvious, face-saving response in such situations is, justifiably, homicide.

* - Rowena A. turned me down. To my knowledge, she remains alive to this day.

That foal is nursing from a zebra. If the sire is a donkey and the dam is a zebra, it is more properly called a donkra, not a zonkey.

@5

Knives pretty much are banned in schools.

@10

High school life today seems to be filled with over-the-top self-indulgence, narcissism, and protectiveness of the precious snowflake students.

Did you catch the bit last weekend when students and their families started protesting against Michelle Obama for having accepted an invitation to speak at their graduation in Topeka (a commemoration of the Brown decision) because it would take away from "their" day? (The claim was that seating for special guests because of Obama might take away tickets from people's third cousins twice removed who were traveling from Antarctica for the ceremony.)
14
@1, sadly, is correct.

The reality is we won't do anything about it, and Putin knows it.
15
The reality is Putin doesn't care what we will do about it. No one believes Obama will do anything. He seems to be doing less than even Bush in his second term, but Merkel as some stones. Putin now admits Russian troops were in Crimea, but denies that what appear to be the same people in Eastern Ukraine are not Russian troops. It's like Putin wants to play with Merkel and piss her off.

Did a donkey sneak into the zebra enclosure, or is the zoo deliberately breeding zonkeys, like it's the Zoo of Dr Moreau or something?
17
@14 We are already giving them the squeeze. Their credit was downgraded today. The gas deal with China is floundering because now the Chinese see a weakness and want to pay a whole lot less than Russia can afford.
18
@8: Hahahahahaha, you finally have actual evidence of a criminal conspiracy perpetrated by several major corporations, and what do you do with it? Go off on a "Rockefellers secretly run the country!" rant, and a reference to the dangers posed by a FB app tied to a video game. God, you're stupid.
19
@11: so we should be calling mules "honkeys"?
20
@17: China is also none too happy with the tactics Putin is using to stir up separatist sentiments. That hits way too close to home for the Chinese government.
21
@16: apparently the albino donkey and zebra have been shacking up for a while now.

Please wait...
