Saw the trailer in a theater this weekend and didn't even notice it was the Twilight guy. Animal Kingdom was EXCELLENT, so I've actually got high hopes for The Rover.

@1 Animal Kingdom knocked me out.

So I gather you were underwhelmed by Pattinson's work in "Little Ashes"?

Water For Elephants was both a critical success and a profitable film. I don't know where the idea that is was a failure comes from. It more than tripled its production budget, which is the very definition of profitable, and it's Fresh on RottenTomatoes. It's not his fault Reese was miscast, he did the best he could.

It was never expected to be a blockbuster, it's a period drama. They only make about 20 of those a year because they're a very hard sell. And Remember Me made a profit, too. Pattinson is the only actor from the Twi franchise who has had two post-Twi films show a profit and attract an audience coming to see him in every scene of a film.

The Rover is on over 60 Most Anticipated Lists, and it's the #1 summer movie on the lists from IndieWire and The Washington Post. Just today is made USA Today's top 12 summer movies to see -- and that's in with huge studio films like Godzilla.

It's going to be the hot ticket, especially after it premieres at Cannes next week. Both actors are outstanding in the film and it may win some awards down the road. This is a game changer for Pattionson, he's going to get fantastic reviews and a whole slew of fanboys.
