This is why government should not worry about what people do with their bodies or whether someone paints their house purple against local ordinances but should instead focus on workplace safety, fraud, and violent crime. If these people were never told their workplace was unsafe, their bosses are guilty of criminally negligent homicide and fraud.

The point is saying "Oh well if these people were never told" is bullshit. They all knew. The employees knew. The employers knew. Just like all those years ago in the garment district in New York city when the doors were chained shut and a fire broke out knew.
