The funny part is, he wasn't even asked to participate. It was all off duty and volunteer.

Best slog post title so far this year :D

This post is abusive to babies who can't help that they wear diapers and don't cry as much as the SPD

Lol @ Kappel ... don't let the door hit ya...

I could not force myself to slog (heh) through all of that he-said she-alledgedly-said bullshit. Does it really take 1600 words to make a salient point here?

@5 Yes, the article was rather painful. It could have been summed up in a couple paragraphs.

I'd like to go on record as saying that babies in diapers are charming and cute, at least to their parents. That is all.

I thought the article was hilarious. Then again, I've spent a lot of time reading heavily-yet-pointlessly redacted records generated by SPD. The literary hallmark of SPD recordkeeping is a method of pouring a thick lacquer of formality over heaps of hilariously phony bullshit, run it up the chain of command for signing, and then stick it in a drawer, hopefully never to be seen outside the agency.

Which is why I find Seattleish's article so damn hilarious. But it's probably just me.

I'm familiar with the background on this story and with the work of each the subjects. I thoroughly enjoyed the Seattleish piece. It didn't seem overly lengthy to me.
