Not that any of those people will be at the Triple Door. The Yardbirds are now Jim McCarty, Tim Topham, and three critically acclaimed young musicians: Ben King, Andy Mitchell, and Dave Smale.

Topham was in the original 63 lineup of the band, but shortly replaced by Eric Clapton. McCarty was the drummer from 63 to 68 with Clapton, Page, and Beck.

I hope they raised a ton for the charity, because that sucked.

The internet tells me Dreja left the band last year. So it's...McCarty?

@1 while I was typing. Thanks.

Jeff Beck is the most overrated musician of all time.

@4,

The hell he is - he's absolutely the greatest living rock guitarist, bar none.

Let me guess - you think the Pixies and/or Jack White are awesome?

as long as we're talking about the Yardbirds, this is by far my favorite tune of theirs:

@5 Jimmy Page is clearly better than Beck. Who wrote Beck's Bolero, HMMMMMMMMM?!

Also Page was terribly fucked up at that ARMS concert, there's no two ways about it.

I want the vinyl reissues just so I can see the original sleeves. Kinda looking forward to In Through The Out Door, but would anyone actually apply the water to see the colors change?

The recording that comes with LZ1 had been on the bootleg scene for a very long time, but Jimmy likely is gonna make it sound better.

Please wait...
