Breaking news! Stanford is in Southern California now, apparently.

Mighty hard not to be pro climate change on a beautiful June day like this in Seattle.

My only complaint is it sounds like I’m going to have a long wait before my property is waterfront…

I'm sure he meant Southern Washington, @1...
4
Impressive. I just hope others follow the UW Student Body in showing they are serious on AGW...

Link for resolution doesn't work.

@5: Doh! Fixed.

Better get ready to ask mommy and daddy to pay up for the tuition increases that will come as a result of a less diversified portfolio in the endowment.

Let's see if the fossil fuel lobby is as powerful as the Israeli lobby and mounts a huge counteroffensive that points fingers at all the other sources of climate change, or denies that such a thing even exists.

Time to shift that money to cleanly produced hydrogen for mini-grids and fuel cells.

@9 please explain the plan for obtaining cleanly produced hydrogen.

@9: Once more, with feeling:
1. HYDROGEN IS NOT A FUEL SUPPLY
2. HIBRODEN IS NOP A FEUL SPPLUY
3. HARGOBLEM LD NIY E VULL ZUBLY
4. MIDROHEM SI WOB DA FEWL ESPLAY
5. GYDROHEM NIZ TON A FWELL PUSPLY

And so what besides feeling good -- which I agree is nice -- is divestment going to do for the globe?

Zero.

This is a great step towards a more logical educational organization or perhaps corporation. I can only hope that the momentum might more even more forward and begin to utilize electric vehicles and solar energy upon all possible roof top spaces, install solar hot water systems and radiant heating systems, grey water systems and led lighting and what ever else science has to offer! Universities should be a plethora of logic at every turn demonstrating the latest and best that the great minds have created so as to spur even further developments. I have often cringed at the sight of the university and vast wastefulness and non- logical investments! Hopefully the time will come when schools demonstrate and teach!

Please wait...
